Bill Dunphy

Bill Dunphy used to be a journalist – a hard news, hard crime, investigative reporting kind of journalist who focused on bikers, cultists, neo-nazis and the police/security apparatus that enfolds them all. Now he just makes stuff up – on stage and on paper – and life is a lot more fun. He began improv back in the first flowering of Theatresports in Toronto in the 80s, playing with some of Canada’s finest improvisors, most of whom were so talented they did not have to resort to a life of journalism. Four years ago he dropped in on one of the Staircase Theatre’s Improv jams and felt like he’d come home.
